Valentine’s Pop-Up Brings Glass, Jewelry, and Heart to New Hope on February 7th

Local artists unite for a Valentine’s pop-up benefiting NOVA and Animal Alliance

New Hope, PA – Just in time for Valentine’s Day, three regional artists are coming together for a one-day pop-up event celebrating craftsmanship, connection, and community. On Saturday, February 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., artists Dan and Jill Burstein of New Hope Glass will partner with Diana Contine of Dakota Moon Jewelry for a Valentine’s Pop-Up at New Hope Glass Studio, located at 3420 N. Sugan Road, New Hope.

The event invites the public to shop, socialize, and experience handcrafted works created with intention and care. Light refreshments will be served, and a portion of proceeds from the day will benefit two local nonprofits: NOVA (Network of Victim Assistance), a Bucks County–based organization supporting victims of crime and crisis, and Animal Alliance of Lambertville, which connects animals in need with loving homes.

The pop-up will feature glass hearts and mini bud vases, alongside Dakota Moon’s distinctive jewelry designs—making it an ideal stop for those seeking meaningful, artful Valentine’s gifts.

The Artists

Dan Burstein, a glass artisan based in New Hope, studied and worked at Bucks County Community College and continues to blow glass in his own New Hope studio. To deepen his practice, Burstein has trained at leading East Coast studios, including the Corning Museum of Glass, where he studied with renowned Murano maestro Davide Salvadore, as well as Janusz Pozniak and John Miller. His work explores functional forms using intricate murrini—an Italian glassmaking technique involving patterned glass canes revealed in cross-section—allowing for rich surface dimension and organic movement. Nature plays a central role in Burstein’s work, particularly in his Southwestern Landscape and Ocean Waves series, which translate land, sky, and water into painterly compositions in glass.

Jill Burstein holds a BFA from Washington University School of Fine Arts in St. Louis and creates all custom stained-glass designs for New Hope Glass. Her designs bring a thoughtful balance of structure, light, and artistry, complementing the studio’s blown glass work and grounding it in a strong design sensibility.

Diana Contine, founder of Dakota Moon Jewelry, has a rich background in fine art and design, with formal training spanning Eastern Michigan University, the American College of London, Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia, and additional studies in California, the south of France, and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. A state-juried member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen, Contine is also affiliated with the Pennsylvania Society of Goldsmiths and is a certified instructor with the PMC Guild. Known for her adventurous use of color and unexpected textures, Contine’s jewelry incorporates materials ranging from precious metals and gemstones to semi-precious beads and ethnic elements. Her work is deeply influenced by the Divine feminine, blending symbol, movement, and talismanic meaning into wearable art that reflects balance, beauty, and intention.

Art with Purpose

For the artists’, giving back is integral to the event. Dan and Jill Burstein selected NOVA for its vital work advocating for and assisting victims of crime and crisis within Bucks County. Contine chose Animal Alliance for its hands-on efforts supporting animals in need and fostering meaningful human-animal connections.

The Valentine’s Pop-Up offers a chance to meet the artists, explore their work, and support causes rooted in compassion—making it a meaningful way to celebrate the season.
